For brighter sciences and a brighter Japan
The Japanese Association for the Advancement of Science (JAAS) was established with the aim of becoming an organization that transcends the boundaries of disciplines, organizations, professions/job classifications, nationalities/ethnicities, and generations, and in which all people can participate. We believe that a bright future for science, in Japan and in the World, requires dialogue and collaboration among people from diverse backgrounds who are motivated to promote science.
Our logo
The JAAS logo is designed to represent the importance of interaction and networking with the wider world, as well as a worldview of mutual respect for each other and diversity. The left side of the logo depicts a network of diverse people connected to each other, and the “J” with a wide curve is the supporting structure of the network.
